Harry Groves (fr 17) has been chosen for the Australian Government’s New Colombo Plan Scholarship.
Under this program, Harry will participate in a fully funded eight month program in Indonesia as part of his economics degree.
He will undertake studies in Indonesian language, culture and economics at the University of Indonesia in Jakarta, followed by an internship at an intergovernmental organisation.
The New Colombo Plan Scholarship Program provides opportunities for Australian undergraduate students to undertake semester-based study and internships or mentorships in participating Indo-Pacific locations.
The program aims to create ambassadors between Australia and Indonesia, to promote Australians relations within the Indo-Pacific region. It is open to Australian undergraduates aged 18-28 studying at Australian universities.
Harry, who also participated in Wesley’s OSE program at the beginning of this year, leaves for his travel adventure in July.
Congratulations and best wishes to Harry!
