The Resident Advisors (RAs) are the first line of support within the College community. They are Senior Students who have been selected to have oversight of the day to day support for all our students within each wing area of the College. We have 11 RAs who live throughout the building, taking responsibility for oversight of their area.
We have a trained Counsellor who is with us 4 days per week, providing pastoral care support to individual students as needed or identified. Appointments are made with the Counsellor and all consultations are confidential.
The Pastoral Care Team is steered by the Master and supported by the Director of Students, Director of Programs, Counsellor, Academic Dean and Registrar. This team oversees any pastoral matters, related to matters of an academic or personal nature for our students. As our students are young adults, we work alongside them as they need to help them achieve their best in their academic studies and personal lives.
We provide extensive training in pastoral care for our RAs, Staff and Student Leaders, including First Aid, Mental Health First Aid and emergency and evacuation training.
