Harry Steel's story
Harrison Steel, fr 2011, is the modest old col who was recently awarded one of the most prestigious postgraduate scholarships in Australia – The Roden Cutler NSW John Monash Scholarship.
Wesley College catering contractors, Chartwell, have kindly donated two half scholarships (approx. $11,000) in 2016 for students wishing to live at Wesley College.
The Chartwell Scholarship is awarded as part of the partnership between Wesley College and Chartwell, in recognition of the many achievements of our students and the need for so many to receive financial support in funding their tertiary education path. This scholarship is a half scholarship for residential fees, for one first year student and one returning student at Wesley.
The scholarship will be assessed on all-round high achievement and contribution to College life, including sporting, cultural and community service aspects. As with most of the Wesley Scholarship, the student would find it difficult to attend if not but for the scholarship.
