Tutorial Program

Tutors and TutorialsWesley College is committed to developing the full intellectual potential of each student. We contract tutors, who include senior undergraduates, postgraduates or university staff with expertise in their academic disciplines each semester to run tutorials each week within the College.

Tutors provide academic support and encouragement in helping students to learn and achieve their academic goals. Tutoring is provided for a wide range of subjects including:

  • Psychology
  • Sciences, including Medical and Health Sciences
  • History
  • Languages
  • Engineering
  • Computing
  • Economics
  • Commerce
  • Government
  • Law.

There is also an inter-college tutorial exchange program where students from other University of Sydney residential colleges are invited to join our tutorials and vice-versa.

Interested in Tutoring at Wesley?
Interested tutors are invited to email their CV and an accompanying cover letter outlining what courses they believe they are qualified to tutor to the Academic Dean.

Requesting a tutorial
All students who wish to request a tutorial must complete the form emailed to them at the start of each semester and submit it to the Academic Dean. A tutorial program will then be developed based on these requests.

Wesley students may attend a tutorial at any other college at any time. Simply notify the Senior Tutor (or relevant individual) at that particular college well in advance.

For students at other colleges wishing to come to a tutorial at Wesley, please simply turn up on the night and register with the tutor.
