Old Cols recognised in Queen’s Birthday 2019 Honours

Congratulations to Adrienne Cahalan (fr 84) and the Hon Reginald Ian Barrett (fr 61) who were recognised in the Queen’s Birthday 2019 Honours.

Adrienne Cahalan (fr 84)

Old Collegian, Adrienne Cahalan (fr 84), has been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours for her significant service to sailing.

The honour shines a light on Ms Cahalan’s various contributions to the sport and achievements including becoming the first and only woman to hold an around the world sailing record.

Old Collegian the Hon. Reginald Ian Barrett (fr 61) was awarded Officer in the Order of Australia (AO) in The Queen’s Birthday Honours for distinguished service to the law, and to the judiciary, particularly in the area of corporations law and legislation.
