In 2018, on the instigation of Doug Craig (fr 79), the Andrew Balcomb scholarship was established to assist future Wesley College residents, specifically those from a financially disadvantaged rural or regional background and from a public school.
Andrew Balcomb started at Wesley in 1978, following in the footsteps of both his brother Ian and before his sister Anne. In 1984, Andrew died in a car accident.
We are seeking donations to the Andrew Balcomb Scholarship to enhance the generous donations of $17,250 already received, to ensure that the scholarship funds can provide a meaningful scholarship to a Wesley College student in the years ahead. A scholarship fund of at least $25,000 will allow for a scholarship to be awarded for several years. Your support can assist us to achieve this and ensure that Andrews legacy continues.
Donations can be made here using the attached donation form or if you would like to discuss the scholarship, please contact Kiri Dumont, Development Manager on firstname.lastname@example.org or 02 9565 3179.
Your support is greatly appreciated.
